Welcome! A quick word about me:

I was drawn to the field of Dietetics as a result of navigating my own diagnosis of IBS. The more I learned about nutrition and how certain foods and stressors impacted the management of my gastrointestinal (GI) symptoms, the more empowered I felt that I was in control, and in tune, with how my body felt. Discovering intuitive eating in the process also helped me repair the poor relationship I had developed with food due to the unnecessary food restrictions I had implemented in an effort to control my symptoms. With this personal and professional experience under my belt, my goal as a Registered Dietitian has become to help my clients reestablish trust with their bodies, whether that trust was broken by a gastrointestinal condition or from years of engaging in disordered eating behaviors.

Dietetics is my second career, which has provided me with a wealth of prior experience in various fields. This allows me to more easily connect with my clients as I understand the demands of different lifestyles. My dream of becoming an RD came to fruition after pursuing my Master's degree in Nutritional Science from Cal State Los Angeles and completing a Dietetic Internship through Cal Poly Pomona with a clinical placement at Harbor UCLA Medical Center. Throughout that process I also worked as a NASM certified personal trainer, and became a UESCA certified running coach, which are certifications that I continue to uphold to this day.

Since becoming an RD, I have sought to further my education and specialize in GI conditions by becoming a member of the American College of Gastroenterology (ACG), Dietitians in Gluten and Gastrointestinal Disorders (DIGID), and the Crohn's and Colitis Foundation. I am also trained in the low-FODMAP diet by Monash University. My primary specialities are in Disorders of the Gut-Brain Interaction (DGBI) and Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBS), though I enjoy working with most GI conditions.

When I am not in session, you can find me out in the mountains on a trail run, at a coffeeshop enjoying a latte, or spending time outdoors in any capacity. I am also a mother to a young daughter, who I hope to demonstrate a positive and intuitive relationship with food, body, and movement for. I am excited for the opportunity to work together to create change and regain enjoyment with food in a practical and sustainable way!
